Grand Tetons reflecting on Jackson Lake, Grand Tetons National Park

Grand Tetons – July 1, 2014

For today’s post, we take a break from Yellowstone, and venture southeast from the world’s first national park, and head to Grand Tetons National Park. We drove south along U.S. 191, stopping for photo opps along the way until we reached Jackson, WY.

The below gallery contains the best images from our visit. The slideshow should start automatically, if you see an image you like, you  can mouse over it to show the parts that don’t display in the viewer, or you can click on it and the full image will pop up. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed shooting them.

  1. Mr. Heywood,
I just ran across the beautiful photographs you have taken of the Grand Tetons here on your website. I am affiliated with a non-profit organization — the Grand Teton Council of The Boy Scouts of America. As the Grand Tetons is not only part of our name, but also within the geographic area our Council serves, we use images of this beautiful location in our printed materials. I was wondering whether you would consider letting us use some of your lovely photographs (with permission and whatever credit you specify) in some of our fliers, brochures, power point presentation or even our website. Let me know whether this would be possible, and how you would feel about it.
    Regards,
    Deborah Summers

    1. I apologize Deborah, I missed your legitimate comment amongst the sea of spam that usually attempts to emned links in my sites comment section. As a former scout, scout leader, and father of a scout well on his way to Eagle, I am happy to support scouting in whatever capacity I can. Please feel free to use any of the images in any way you see fit to help promote scouting in your area. A simple “Photo courtesy of VernonHeywood.com” on any images used would be appreciated.

      Happy Scouting,
      VH
